Sam Pang is calling on some flamin’ legends as he suits up for television’s night of nights, the 63rd TV WEEK Logie Awards

The event will be broadcast exclusively on Channel 7 and 7plus, starting from 7:00 pm.

For the first time in 11 years, the ceremony will feature a solo host, Sam Pang, comedian and co-host of Seven’s The Front Bar. This marks a significant departure from the norm, making Sam the first individual to host the event since 2012. The eager host expressed his anticipation for the event, stating,

“It will be weird not having a buzzer or beer in front of me, hopefully, I’m up to the challenge. I feel very lucky to be a part of this industry and can’t wait for July 30 in Sydney”.

Adding a touch of humour and camaraderie to the build-up, Sam Pang teamed up with Summer Bay royalty, Ray Meagher, to get suited up for the event. Ray, who is nominated for Most Popular Actor this year, expressed his excitement, albeit with a more laid-back approach, saying,

“I don’t enjoy getting suited and booted for anything. I like a bit more casual than that. It’s a great celebration of our industry though”.

The nominees for the awards were announced on June 19, 2023, with the TV show ‘The Twelve’ leading the pack with a total of nine nominations. As a new feature this year, the voting will remain open for all popular awards until the end of the red carpet telecast on July 30.

The TV WEEK Gold Logie Award voting will remain open throughout the telecast and close at 10:30 pm AEST. This allows the audience watching from home to actively participate and shape the course of Australian television history live on the night.
