Channel 10 has confirmed a star-studded cast for the inaugural Australian season of The Amazing Race Celebrity Edition, featuring some of our country’s best-known personalities.

The globe-trotting race is set to test relationships like never before as celebrities and their partners grapple with culture shock, limited budgets, and the unrelenting pace of the race.

Hosted by Beau Ryan, the lovable larrikin is set to inject the race with a dose of unexpected twists and turns, promising a season teeming with excitement. Our celebrities will be racing for the coveted prize of $100,000, to be donated to their chosen charity.

The Daily Telegraph reveals contestants will include, Ben Gillies, former drummer for Silverchair, will be competing alongside his wife, Jackie Gillies, known for her role in Real Housewives of Melbourne. Speaking on the competition, Gillies emphasised the show’s potential to bring participants into the present moment.

Ex-athlete and now doctor, Jana Pittman, mother to six children, will be joining the race with her eldest son, Cornelius. They aim to secure the prize money for the Royal Hospital for Women. Pittman emphasised the race’s opportunity to spend quality time with her son.

Other notable contestants include TV host Grant Denyer and wife Chezzie, AFL WAG Bec Judd and her sister Kate Twigley, reality star Harry Jowsey and friend Teddy Briggs, comedian Dane Simpson and his father Bow, and singer Alli Simpson with her mother Angie.

Further adding to the star power, the cast features former Yellow Wiggle Emma Watkins and her sister Hayley, presenter Darren McMullen and nephew Tristan, Australian Survivor contestant George Mladenov and his sister Pamela, and comedian Peter Rowsthorn and his daughter Frankie.

Each team has chosen a charity to support. Alli Simpson and her mother, Angie, will be raising funds for Dementia Australia. Bec Judd and her sister, Kate Twigley, are supporting Impatient Advocacy – A Nicole Cooper Foundation. Ben and Jackie Gillies have chosen the Moira Kelly Creating Hope Foundation. Harry Jowsey and Teddy Briggs will race for Beyond Blue.

Grant and Chezzie Denyer have Lifeline as their chosen charity. Dane and Bow Simpson are supporting the Darugal Elders in Wolgan. George Mladenov and his sister Pamela have chosen the Bankstown Women’s Health Centre as their charity.
