Apple TV+ is set to launch Killers of the Flower Moon, an enthralling western crime saga with an impressive Hollywood cast.
The story unfolds in the early 20th century when the Osage Nation experienced a sudden surge in wealth due to oil discovery, making them amongst the wealthiest individuals worldwide.
This newfound fortune, however, attracted the greed of white settlers. These opportunists employed deceit, exploitation, and theft to take away the Osage’s wealth, eventually resorting to heinous acts of murder. The captivating narrative is based on real events, and is intricately woven around the unlikely romance between Ernest Burkhart, portrayed by Leonardo DiCaprio, and Mollie Kyle, played by Lily Gladstone.
Killers of the Flower Moon boasts a stellar cast, including Robert De Niro, Jesse Plemons, Lily Gladstone, and Leonardo DiCaprio. The storyline is drawn from David Grann’s best-selling book, with a screenplay crafted by Eric Roth and Martin Scorsese, who is also the director.
Killers of the Flower Moon is a collaboration between Apple Studios, Imperative Entertainment, Sikelia Productions, and Appian Way, with Scorsese, Dan Friedkin, Bradley Thomas, and Daniel Lupi serving as producers. An impressive list of executive producers includes Leonardo DiCaprio, Rick Yorn, Adam Sommer, Marianne Bower, Lisa Frechette, John Atwood, Shea Kammer, and Niels Juul.
