It’s a two-horse race for linear first-run TV, and an entirely different race for Total TV catch-up and BVOD.

Channel 9

A winning night for Nine almost across the board. A Current Affair (611,000) and Travel Guides (671,000) both untouched, and the special Barry Humphries: A Life of Laughs (467,000) captures a big audience for later in the evening. A repeat of The Weakest Link (80,000) and New Amsterdam (59,000) have less success in the late night.

Nine first in both primary (23.6%) and network (31.4%) rankings.

Channel 7

Home & Away (462,000) continues to perform solidly for Seven, though the same can’t be said for The 1% Club Australia (460,000) as it slides on last week’s premiere. A double ep of Accused (210,000; 142,000) sees its audience slip also. A repeat of Crime Investigation Australia: Most Infamous (66,000) attracts only hardcore fans.

Seven second in both primary (19.7%) and network (28.1%) rankings.

ABC

7:30 (471,000) and Hard Quiz (482,000) run second for the ABC, peeling into The Weekly with Charlie Pickering (377,000) and Aunty Donna’s Coffee Cafe (145,000). QI (154,000) keeps some of that audience, before repeats of Staged (55,000) and Frayed (DNR) experience less success.

ABC third in both primary (12.3%) and network (17.9%) rankings.

Channel 10

The Project (192,000 6:30pm; 280,000 7pm) continues to be 10’s best for the night as a repeat of The Dog House Australia (170,000) steps in to ease the pain. Law & Order: SVU (107,000) doesn’t do much and a double episode of The Bridge Australia (51,000; 34,000) got bounced to the late night due to how poorly it was doing. A repeat of Bull (24,000) ends the evening.

10 fourth in both primary (6.5%) and network (12.4%) rankings.

SBS

Alone Australia (230,000) does alright for SBS in linear broadcast, however it continues to soar in Total TV (7 day later catch-up and BVOD). Brian Cox: How The Other Half Live (127,000) finishes up reasonably, and Rogue Heroes (86,000) closes out the night.

SBS fifth in both primary (5.9%) and network (10.1%) rankings.

KEY DEMOS
