Champagne corks heard popping from South Africa and Pyrmont.

Channel 7

Seven held up again thanks to its News product. Farmer Wants A Wife (550,000) good though shunted to second, and 7News Spotlight (384,000) slides in front in the timeslot afterwards. Born To Kill (84,000) and Quantum Leap (41,000) draw a meagre number of viewers to close the night.

Seven first in both primary (20.8%) and network (28.4%) rankings.

Channel 9

Nine have a less successful night as Lego Masters Australia: Grand Masters (548,000) slid into third in the slot (only just) and 60 Minutes (357,000) was bumped into second. Australian Crime Stories (107,000) and The First 48 (59,000) managed only small audiences in the late night.

Nine second in both primary (20%) and network (27.5%) rankings.

Channel 10

It’s the last time we’ll see The Sunday Project (195,000 6:30pm; 289,000 7pm) rate reasonably for its second half hour for a while. It was buoyed this final time by the season nine finale of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! (577,000 avg (562,000 finale; 592,000 winner)) which managed to slay its competitors in primetime. The Last Last Late Late Show Special (252,000) followed afterwards and drew a solid audience.

10 third in both primary (14.3%) and network (18.9%) rankings.

ABC

ABC goes in strong with its Sunday line-up, though Grand Designs (441,000) was pipped in primetime while Midsomer Murders (412,000) delivered a win for its timeslot. Close to Me (116,000) and a repeat of MotherFatherSon (42,000) saw much smaller audiences tune in.

ABC fourth in both primary (13.7%) and network (18%) rankings.

SBS fifth in both primary (4.1%) and network (7.2%) rankings.
