Netflix’s critically acclaimed series, “The Crown,” is returning for a sixth season, inspired by the real events that shaped the reign of Queen Elizabeth II.

The upcoming season will focus on Prince William’s time as a university student at St Andrews, where he meets Kate Middleton, also starting her university journey. The new romance sets the stage for a new chapter in the story of “The Crown.”

Ed McVey, a recent graduate from Drama Centre London, will make his professional screen debut as Prince William in the later episodes of the season. Newcomer Meg Bellamy, who was cast through a social media audition, will portray Kate Middleton.
