Apple TV+ has unveiled the official trailer for its upcoming eight-episode dark comedy series, “High Desert,” starring Patricia Arquette, who also serves as an executive producer.
High Desert follows the story of Peggy (Arquette), an on-again-off-again addict who decides to turn her life around after the death of her beloved mother. She makes a life-changing decision to become a private investigator in the small desert town of Yucca Valley, California.
The series, directed by Emmy Award-winner Jay Roach, also features Matt Dillon, Christine Taylor, Weruche Opia, Brad Garrett, Bernadette Peters, Rupert Friend, and Australian actor Keir O’Donnell.
“High Desert” will make its global debut on Apple TV+ with the first three episodes on Wednesday, 17 May, followed by new episodes released weekly every Wednesday.
Created and written by Nancy Fichman, Katie Ford, and Jennifer Hoppe, “High Desert” is produced by Ben Stiller through Red Hour Films, 3 Arts Entertainment, and Delirious Media, and hails from Apple Studios.
Stiller and Arquette previously collaborated on the AFI and WGA Award-winning, Peabody Award-nominated hit Apple Original series “Severance,” as well as “Escape at Dannemora” and the comedy classic “Flirting with Disaster.” Stiller and Jay Roach also worked together on the legendary comedy trilogy “Meet the Parents,” “Meet the Fockers,” and “Little Fockers.”
Can’t wait, this looks way funny. Great cast, love Trish Arquette!
