The ABC’s current affairs evening pushes hard, and even pushes its way into the primetime reality battle.
Channel 7
Home & Away (491,000) consistent for Seven–as is Farmer Wants A Wife (557,000), which is offering a solid start to Q2 for the network. The final instalment of The Claremont Murders (382,000) does dependably, and the night finishes with a repeat of How To Look Good Naked (74,000).
Seven first in both primary (24.6%) and network (32.4%) rankings.
Channel 9
A Current Affair (615,000) strong as usual for Nine, followed closely by Lego Masters Australia: Grand Masters (448,000) which is offering a strong season however is slowing in audience appeal on linear overnights. RPA (274,000) does OK but not great, then the night splits for AFL/NRL analysis with 100% Footy (50,000) or Footy Classified (71,000), and then everything returns for a repeat of The Equalizer (43,000).
Nine second in both primary (18.7%) and network (25.3%) rankings.
ABC
7:30 (479,000) and Australian Story (509,000) join forces to give the ABC a reasonable start. Four Corners (442,000) and Media Watch (406,000) also do reasonably – not their best or worst – while Q+A (192,000) flat out struggles. A repeat of Tall Poppy: A Skater’s Story (DNR) finishes out the night to an unknown audience.
ABC third in both primary (14.3%) and network (18.3%) rankings.
Channel 10
The Project (193,000 6:30pm; 291,000 7pm) starts the week with its best numbers for 10, before dropping into another solid ep of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! (419,000). It shrinks significantly afterwards, with Ghosts (141,000) pivoting into new and repeat eps of FBI: Most Wanted (77,000; 51,000).
10 fourth in both primary (10%) and network (16%) rankings.
SBS
The Secret Life of Lighthouses (110,000) opened SBS’s night, followed by My Name is Reeva (66,000) and a repeat of 24 Hours in Emergency (42,000).
SBS fifth in both primary (3.5%) and network (8%) rankings.
