Australia’s favourite travel critics are back with more epic overseas adventures and outrageous laughs in the new season of Travel Guides.

The 2023 season of Travel Guides is set to feature a new cast member. While cowgirl Mel takes time off to be with her baby, twin sister Stack will be joined by their younger brother, Josh, who has never been overseas before but is a true-blue country boy and game for anything.

The TV Week Logie Award-winning show will feature the return of the budget-hunting Fren family from Newcastle, fun-loving Matt and Brett, jetsetters Kevin and Janetta, and best mates Kev, Dorian and Teng.

In this side-splitting new season, the Guides are off to some of the world’s biggest bucket-list destinations as they hit unsuspecting Europe, the UK, South Africa, Asia and beyond.

Viewers will be taken on a journey to extraordinary locations such as island-hopping along the Croatian coast, riding camels through the Moroccan desert, hanging with orangutans in Borneo, and even visiting Santa in the Arctic Circle.

Narrated by popular Aussie comedian Denise Scott, each episode will see the Guides pack their bags and set off on a week-long journey full of new experiences and adventures. They share their unfiltered and brutally honest opinions as they encounter crazy activities, different foods, must-see tourist spots, and all sorts of local culture.

As one person’s idea of heavenly bliss is another’s idea of travelling hell, opinions will differ wildly, often leading to outrageous reviews as our fearless Guides let rip, tell it how they see it, and rate each holiday out of five stars. Travel Guides is produced by Nine and promises to be an unforgettable journey.

Brand new episodes of Travel Guides premieres April 19 at 7.30 pm on Channel 9 and 9Now
