It’s the final week of ratings before the pointless two-week Easter non-ratings break, and as things wrap up we’re seeing a continuation of everything from Q1.
Channel 9
Another monster night for Nine, starting with A Current Affair (735,000) and growing into the third-last ep of Married At First Sight (909,000). The season premiere of RPA (419,000) does solid numbers following, before the night splits based on code for 100% Footy (58,000) or Footy Classified (110,000); all coming back together for The Equalizer (47,000).
Nine first in both primary (25.9%) and network (32%) rankings.
Channel 7
A great start to the night for Seven as Home & Away (512,000) bounces up over 500k, but then it slides with a double Highway Patrol (304,000; 285,000) in primetime. Britain’s got Talent: The Ultimate Magician (182,000) and How to Look Good Naked (46,000) fill out the schedule.
Seven second in both primary (16.2%) and network (24.4%) rankings.
ABC
Monday Current Affairs night leads with a solid 7:30 (447,000) and Australian Story (492,000) on the ABC, taking out third in the slot. Four Corners (496,000) and Media Watch (490,000) maintain their audience average, and Q+A (233,000) lifts one last week. China Tonight (74,000) rounds out the night neatly.
ABC third in primary (14.2%) and fourth in network (17.8%) rankings.
Channel 10
A big night for 10, once The Project (182,000 6:30pm; 312,000 7pm) gets out of the way (though it is boosted by its follow on). The season finale of Australian Survivor (621,000 avg (592,000 finale; 650,000 winner)) does great business and clearly takes second place in primetime. Few tune in for the free-to-air tester of Rabbit Hole (128,000) or the late night repeat of FBI: Most Wanted (52,000).
10 fourth in primary (13%) and third in network (18.9%) rankings.
SBS
Another Monday with little attention. Britain by Beach (103,000) followed by Irish Road Trip with Miriam Margolyes (76,000) and a repeat of 24 Hours in Emergency (55,000).
SBS fifth in both primary (3.4%) and network (7%) rankings.

I would have thought that a strong lead in from the Survivor finale would have given Rabbit Hole a better result than it achieved. The two aren’t the most compatible shows, but losing more than 500,000 viewers from one show to the next is a lot.
Hi Ian – it’s consistent with the trend that drama starting late after any big reality show isn’t pulling the audience it used to. People are turning off and tuning into other things at that point and not sticking with linear broadcast TV.
