Australian Balloon artists are getting ready to showcase their skills in the all-new competition, Blow Up.
Hosted by actor Stephen Curry and comedian Becky Lucas, the competition promises to leave the nation breathless when it premieres on Channel 7 and 7plus.
Contestants will face off in a series of challenges that will test their skills in balloon artistry and decoration. From creating life-size figures to miniature designs, the competition will feature some of the most talented balloon artists in the country.
The contestants’ performances will be judged by resident balloon expert Chris Adamo and a panel of celebrity guest judges. They will be looking for the most creative and awe-inspiring designs.
The competition promises to be an unforgettable experience that will leave audiences gasping for air. Who will be crowned Australia’s greatest balloon artist and who will be full of hot air?
The answer is just around the corner.
Blow Up is a Banijay company production, brought to viewers by Endemol Shine Australia for the Seven Network.
It strikes me as concerning that given society’s growing awareness around the deteriment balloons have on our environment, especially our marine ecosystems, and our growing push to no longer consume single use items, a program of this nature flies in the face of the community’s public awareness.
Can Channel 7 please publicly advise on what is being done to address these issues?

Agreed Carol, very well said, hope you get a response.
Pretty sure you can get environmentally friendly balloons now.
I’m disgusted with this show. We’re trying to move away from single use plastics and here they’re being promoted and made glamorous!!! You could’ve at least devised a biodegradable balloon for this show! I regularly pick up balloons on the beach that people have carelessly released which will be harming our marine life. You could’ve made reusing or recycling glamorous but no just a waste of space show. I’m so angry every time I see the promo on tv.
I can’t believe someone has thought up this show. What happens to all the mass of balloons once used? It’s completely irresponsible
Fully agree disgusted with promoting single use balloons no matter what is said you can’t recycle just rubbish. 7 wants to compare with lego but smash them down and reuse every time.
