Get ready for an epic night of Australian Survivor: Heroes vs Villain’s. This Sunday night is being marketed as ‘the best tribal ever’ will Simon finally take down King George? Or will Fraser finally make the move we have been waiting for?

The episode starts with Simon plotting George’s doom and it’s been more overplayed than Ed Sheeran’s ‘Perfect’. The only villain remotely interested in what Simon has to say is Fraser.

Fraser has to be one of my favourite new players. I’ve known him for five whole minutes, but I already sense his spirit animal is a shark. There doesn’t need to be much of an explanation as to why Fraser is a villain. ‘I work in real estate.’ He shrugs back in episode one.

Whilst some castaways idolise past winners, Fraser idolises the guy from Lux Listings. My guess is he came on the show to scout for potential resort developments during his time in Samoa.

The days are starting to blur together. If you are a hero’s fan, apologies in advance. There’s not a single interview from any of the heroes – barring Gerry, speaking of Gerry let’s see what he’s up to.

Gerry is getting the royal treatment at the villian’s camp. His honesty and laid-back attitude has helped him survive 48 hours with the villain’s tribe and part of him doesn’t want to leave.

No reward today, straight to the immunity challenge. Fine by me, it’s Sunday night. I gotta get up early for work tomorrow. The heroes cheer in excitement at the sight of Gerry at the next challenge. They are a lot more excited to see him than he is to see them.

JLP must sense Gerry’s disappointment because he offers Gerry an ultimatum. Gerry join the dark side permanently or he can go back to his faithful villains like an on-again-off-again ex-boyfriend.

Gerry’s a nice guy. He’s so nice he reluctantly decides to go back to his unfaithful ex – the heroes. The villains are devastated. I get it, villains. I’ve had some cool exchange students in my time too. The villains are now down to seven people, with the heroes having to sit four people for this challenge.

The heroes’ team – which is still packed with ex-professional athletes – steamrolls the villains. Once again, the villains are heading back to tribal. 7 is about to become 6.

Will this be the best tribal ever?

Simon declares; ‘This is it. It’s time to take down the cockroach from Bankstown.’ Simon makes a beeline to Stevie, the swing vote. Stevie decides on codename ‘Operation Anaconda’. Stevie’s given this undercover work a lot of thought and tells Simon, if someone says “mango,” the plan for getting George is a go. If someone says “papaya,” the plans off.

Stevie then proceeds to make a beeline to George to hear what he has to say. Simon starts glaring at Stevie from the beach. Can Simon trust him? Stevie swings more than Austin Powers – so probably not.

Jordie decides now is time to turn on Simon. He can see Simon befriending the alpha males on the heroes team come merge. Jordie reveals to George that Simon’s got an idol (which only the viewers know is fake). Will the Joker sacrifice his friendship to move further along the game? Absolutely! George rubs his hands together in mischievous villain style.

“This will be the death of Simon and the second coming of King George!” – George

(tribal)

Tribal is on like Donkey Kong. George tells JLP it’s time to chop off the tribes weakest link and Simon snarls, “you can’t vote yourself out, George because you are the weakest player.”

I’m waiting for someone to blurt out mango or papaya. Then the second twist of the episode is announced. JLP sends the villains tribe off to compete in a dramatic fire-making challenge, offering the winner individual immunity from tonight’s tribal. Sigh, I guess I’m not going to bed early after all.

Simon wins the fire-making challenge and has secured immunity. I’ve never seen the tribe look so confused.  Simon might have been the only one to start a fire in the challenge, George is about to set the tribal alight.

Simon continues to throw shade at George and it starts making everyone really uncomfortable. Jordie reminds everyone, this is Australian survivor. This game is not personal. If people wanted to watch people stab each other in the back and get personal about it – MAFS is on the other channel.

Mango? Papaya? Steve starts shifting in his seat.

George brings all the boys to their knees. He plays a hidden immunity idol for himself and exposes Jordie for telling him about Simon’s (fake) idol. Then George blackmails Simon, announcing that everyone has voted for Stevie. The only way Simon can escape tonight with his reputation intact is if he plays his idol for Steve.

Steve is going to be absolutely screwed when he discovers Simon has a fake idol.

Simon decides if he’s a villain for this season of Australian survivor then his is going to live up to his name and does not play his idol for Steve. The fake idol will be exposed in a future episode.

JLP starts reading the votes. George, does not count. George, does not count. Stevie. Stevie.

Stevie winces. Fraser is chilling out. Baby shark is living in his head rent free.

Three votes to go. Fraser. Fraser. Fraser.

WHAT?!

The biggest blindside of the season has shattered the Villain’s boys alliance. With Fraser going, Simon and Jordie have no one else to align with. They are so vocal about getting played we almost miss Fraser’s torch getting snuffed.

Goodbye Fraser. I knew you had a big move in you but this was not what I anticipated.

It’s ok, we all know Fraser is going to make more money out of developing a hotel on a Samoan beach than he ever would winning Australian survivor.
