2023 Survivor Australia Heroes vs Villains Recap, S08E02.
Itās day 3 in Samoa and the Villainās tribe is hungry AF. George is back eccentric shirts and all with a large gash on his forehead that makes me cringe throughout the entire episode. Alas, the promos live up to their prophecy, this really is the second coming of King George.
The reward challenge is your standard tug-a-war. The winning tribe gets to raid the losers camp and strip any of them of critical supplies. After last episodes disaster, the villains have finally come to an agreement; thereās no āIā in team but there is in āwinā. This is the part of the episode where I usually start scrolling through my phone but Simonās evil antics catch my attention. Instead of pushing to the finish line Simon plants two feet firmly on the finish line and JLP reluctantly declares Simon and the Villainās tribe the winners of rewards.
Back in the middle ages, the Vikings travelled around raiding unsuspecting villages. In 2023 Samoa, the Villains tribe gets to raid the Heroes camp. George, the Viking from the north, wants to take no prisoners but Mimi reminds him theyāre villains not sociopaths and stop the Villains from vandalising the heroesā camp. The villians decide to compromise on the amount of soul-crushing they do and decide to just put out the heroes fire, steal all their food and run away laughing manically.
Fast forward to the challenge and thereās no flipping cubes and mud pits in sights. George breathes a sigh of relief. Itās neck and neck throughout the entire obstacle course until George and Fraser stumble their way through the puzzle part of the challenge. Once again, the heroes remain victorious. With no hospitalisations after this challenge, JLP sends both his personal injury lawyers and the heroes back to camp.
With tribal council looming, Michael has come out of the Australian Survivor starting gates faster than Usain Bolt. The swelling on Georgeās forehead has only just started to come down and Michael is already putting Georgeās head back on the chopping block.
But no one understands why Michael is so hell-bent on voting out George. Michael has hardly spoken to George throughout the entire game. At least for Simon, getting rid of George is personal. The remaining Villians suspect Michaelās primary motive for eliminating George is him fangirling too hard and start plotting Michaelās doom.
But Jordie and Simon remain unconvinced. The Jimon bromance continues to blossom, and Michael is quickly becoming a rough third wheel.
When Michael becomes completely unhinged during tribal, accusing George for being the sole reason for losing the challenge Simon nod in agreement. They silently decide yeah-nah, theyāre not voting for George anymore, they have bigger fish to fry.
Good bye Michael, I am going to add him to the wall of players next to Andy Meldrum for playing too hard, too soon.
