A casting call has been published searching for contestants to participate in a new global adventure travel competition.
The new series, which is being developed under the title of Globetrotters is searching for teams of two willing to “pack their bags for the overseas adventure of a liftetime”
Globetrotters, which is being developed locally by Endemol Shine Australia, is promising a “huge cash prize” for the winning team with the series featuring travel to “destinations you have only ever dreamed of?”
Details of a broadcast partner for Globetrotters are yet to be confirmed.
The commissioning of the new series comes after Channel 9 recently confirmed details of its own new travel adventure program The Summit which will be filmed in New Zealand and is also being produced by Endemol Shine Australia.
Channel 10 is yet to confirm the future of its travel series, The Amazing Race Australia which recently finished airing with soft ratings.
Channel 7 will reveal details of its 2023 programming line-up at an Upfront presentation on October 25.
Hi, I am a widow who has done some travelling with my deceased husband. We travelled the world. We went on overseas holidays by ship mostly to different destinations around the world. We went to Fort Lauderdale to board a ship bound for the Azores, Portugal, Estonia, Finland, Sweden and Norway. Then to Copenhagen and a flight to London.
We travelled to New Zealand twice as we had a time share. We sailed around Australia.
We travelled to Los Angeles and then a flight to Fort Lauderdale and a cruise through the Panama Canal and then to various stops including Aruba and other places on the way to Los Angeles.
Hello I have never been over seas and I am turning 60 next year. I applied for a passport one month before covid arrived and still have not been able to get there. My partner has been to so many places around the world and I would love this opportunity to see the world. I look forward to hearing from you and hopefully I get this chance of a life time. We manage to get away on a yearly basis and tend to go for a month at a time , we tend to not make plans and just grab a car and go with only a direction in sight, that makes it so much fun not really knowing what we are going to see or be , so far in the past 33 years we have managed to cover nearly all of Asia,Europe and 51 states of the USA and a touch of the Balkans, we have just turned 50 and don’t look like stopping anytime soon as we both have the passion for not only what and where the travel takes us but also the people and friendships we have made across this wonderful world not to mention the fantastic and different foods and cultures we have been so lucky to encounter.
