The Wallabies get their chance to snap a 20-year Bledisloe Cup drought against the might of the All Blacks when the 2022 series begins at Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium, Live and Free tonight on Channel 9.
In a high-pressure two-game series, the Wallabies will look to defy the odds under coach David Rennie, who needs his forwards, steered by captain James Slipper to unsettle the All Blacks up front before the speed and skill of backs, Marika Koroibete and returning flyhalf Bernard Foley, can capitalise.
Signalling another all-out trans-Tasman war at Marvel Stadium, the All Blacks’ famous haka will shake the ground before the giants of world rugby and their big names Beauden Barrett and Sam Cane try to heap more misery on the Wallabies.
Nine’s Wide World of Sports coverage of the Bledisloe Cup will feature Wallabies greats Tim Horan and Drew Mitchell, plus All Blacks legends Andrew Mehrtens and Sonny Bill Williams.
Special guests on the panel will be Wallabies legend Matt To’omua (pre-game) and former All Blacks superstar Ma’a Nonu (half-time).
On the sideline with Roz Kelly will be Mitchell, Williams and former Wallaby Morgan Turinui.
Sean Maloney will call the match, flanked by Horan and Mehrtens, while Nick McArdle hosts the coverage alongside Justin Harrison and Allana Ferguson.
Viewers can also tune in to extended ad-free coverage in ultra-clear 4K UHD on Stan Sport with two additional streams available, Spider Cam and the option to follow All Blacks superstar Richie Mo’unga on Player Cam.
