Thursday nights are starting to settle into the normality of the winter season.
The footy pretty much affects everything on Seven, though it’s still a soft win: Home & Away (276,000 7pm Seven – SYD/BNE/PER; 106,000 7pm 7TWO – MEL/ADL) (243,000 7:30pm Seven – SYD/BNE/PER; 121,000 7:30pm 7TWO – MEL/ADL), MOVIE: Harry Potter & The Prisoner of Azkaban (74,000 Seven – BNE/SYD/PER; 36,000 7mate – MEL/ADL), Seven’s AFL: Thursday Night Football (332,000 Seven – MEL/ADL; 106,000 7mate – BNE/SYD/PER) and The Front Bar (225,000 Seven – MEL/ADL/PER).
Seven first in both primary (21.6%) and network (32.5%) rankings.
A Current Affair (490,000 (not BNE)) for almost everyone, and then the night splits because the footy is on: Thursday Night NRL Live (292,000 Nine – BNE/SYD) and Thursday Night Knock-Off (109,000 BNE/SYD); or RBT (166,000 Nine – MEL/ADL/PER; 42,000 9Gem – BNE/SYD), a repeat of Emergency (139,000 Nine – MEL/ADL/PER; 44,000 – BNE/SYD), Casualty 24/7 (86,000 Nine – MEL/ADL/PER; 27,000 9Gem – BNE/SYD), and a repeat of New Amsterdam (56,000).
Nine second in both primary (18.6%) and network (25.4%) rankings.
The Project (196,000 6:30pm; 293,000 7pm) substantially better than last week, but that’s because there’s no soccer. First Dates Australia (314,000) doing OK, but it’s Gogglebox Australia (502,000) that is the jewel in their crown as the biggest non-News for the night. A repeat of Would I Lie To You? Australia (153,000) adds a few more eyeballs, while a repeat of Blue Bloods (52,000) completes the night.
10 third in both primary (11.7%) and network (17.9%) rankings.
7:30 (319,000) leading into the Budget 2022: Opposition Reply (357,000) offers a reasonable start for the ABC. Q+A (246,000) picks up a little, as does Rosie Batty’s One Plus One (130,000), and a repeat of Scottish Vet’s Down Under (54,000) fills out the schedule.
ABC fourth in both primary (10%) and network (15.4%) rankings.
SBS’s Thursday delivers a reasonable return: Every Family Has A Secret (222,000), The Royals: Keeping the Crown (139,000), and Sex, Myths, and the Menopause (72,000).
SBS fifth in both primary (5.2%) and network (8.8%) rankings.
