It’s like we like watching people watch TV.

A Current Affair (646,000) leads the charge for Nine, as RBT (438,000) gets pushed aside. Australia Behind Bars (324,000) also takes a hit, down over 100k on last week. A+E After Dark (190,000) and a late-night repeat of New Amsterdam (58,000) flesh out the evening.
Nine first in both primary (18.7%) and network (26.4%) rankings.

Seven start with their strongest, safe in the knowledge that Home and Away (546,000 7pm; 440,000 7:30pm-8:30pm late) will, from later this year, be the only serialised Australian soap on TV. A double of Showtrial (160,000; 127,000) keeps a holding pattern ahead of the launch of the AFL in a couple of weeks.
Seven second in both primary (16.8%) and network (25.2%) rankings.

The Project (219,000 6:30pm; 334,000 7pm) slips even further as the week progresses, though First Dates Australia (374,000) brings some joy to 10…and all thanks to the massive Celebrity Gogglebox Australia (571,000) bump. A repeat of Would I Lie To You? Australia (211,000) adds a few extra viewers, and Blue Bloods (87,000) gets a new ep in for fans. Finally 10 earn their third place slot.
10 third in both primary (14.5%) and network (20.3%) rankings.

7:30 (494,000) remains strong for the ABC, however that’s not the last of the good news for the evening. Foreign Correspondent (423,000) adds nearly 100k on last week, and even the ejection of an audience member lifts Q+A (307,000) a little (Thursday is the wrong spot for it – #QandAMonday). Rosie Batty’s One Plus One (137,000) and a repeat of Griff’s Great Kiwi Road Trip (96,000) complete the night.
ABC fourth in both primary (12%) and network (19%) rankings.

A solid Thursday night for SBS: Scenic Coastal Walks with Kate Humble (159,000), The Royals: Keeping the Crown (171,000), and Britain’s Most Expensive Houses (95,000).
SBS fifth in both primary (5.3%) and network (9.1%) rankings.

  1. As a regular Gogglebox Australia viewer, I thought the cast for celebrity Gogglebox Australia was excellent. Rob/bob Irwin was an unexpected highlight for me.

Matt Preston & Lachy Hulme sitting at the dinning table was different to the normal. Surely they can’t of been comfortable there watching hours of TV.

It would be great if they do more celebrity Gogglebox Australia in the future. Although I’m guessing the casting costs are much higher than non celebrity Gogglebox!
