BABIES! The incredible baby shower from Chyka and allegedly Janet presents us with a chance to find out the gender of Jackie’s bubs…and become the hotbed of controversy as The Narcissist™ checks out.
So it’s come to this – The Real Housewives of Melbourne are delivering a much-sizzled walkout of one of the most controversial Housewives yet.
I mean, sure, there’s lots of filler before we get there (do we care about Cherry‘s cupboard organiser lady Chelsea?) and yet when we do it’s both everything we expected and completely underwhelming.
You gotta hand it to Anjali – that’s a unique skill to master.
It does reveal some scars though:
- Gamble squares off against Kylie/Kyla, but not before she films her video for her new song;
- Simone introduces us to Helena and LawFirm as we find out that Janet is essentially grooming her (after she ropes them all in to help her film her TVC for her tea brand); and
- Jackie rolls up with the unofficial 8th Housewife Ben to get some shots for her new podcast and she’s upset that The Narcissist™ didn’t front up to make good and at least allow the airing of grievances.
There’s a final shot across the bow that surely will resurface, and that’s Janet’s ability to apparently break into The Narcissist’s apartment.
All of this ends up centring around the incredible Baby Shower that Chyka (and allegedly Janet) has arranged, and BOOM! we get to find out the genders of the twins. It is honestly so much joy infused with so much confusion with a venom chaser that it’s near impossible to keep up. Chyka does deliver some great reaction face though. Totally worth it. God we miss her.
This episode also gives us this most amazing of clips that, in the context of this show, can never be underused (put it on repeat, or maybe use it as your ringtone)…
