Singing sensation Alli Simpson has been unveiled as the eighth superstar performer on The Masked Singer Australia.

Hidden under a striking Lightning costume, the 23-year-old Australian-born singer, recent star of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! and sister of The Masked Singer Australia season one winner Cody Simpson, proved incredible vocals run in the family.

Despite lighting up the stage with her rendition of Rachel Platten’s Fight Song, Lightning was no match for Kebab’s soulful take on the Otis Redding hit Try A Little Tenderness.

Guessing panel Dannii Minogue, Dave Hughes, Jackie O and Urzila Carlson were unable to detect Alli as Lightning and instead nominated dancer and actress Maddie Ziegler, singer Tones And I, reality star Angie Kent and athlete Sally Pearson.

When Lightning finally peeled off her mask, our hosts and panelists were in shock.

When asked about her experience on The Masked Singer Australia, Alli said:

“I loved being able to sing and nobody can see you. Performing on stage was new for me and I loved every second of it.”

With performances to analyse and fresh clues up on the board, are you any closer to guessing who’s behind Kebab, Baby, Dolly, Mullet and Vampire?

The Masked Singer Australia returns tomorrow night at 7.30pm with that same chaotic energy you know and love.

THE MASKED SINGER AUSTRALIA – continues tomorrow night at 7.30pm, only on 10 and 10 Play on demand.
