I wonder how a changed lockdown will affect things from today?
Simply huge numbers continue for Seven, with the primary channel broadcast benefitting the most: Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games – Evening (7pm) (1,128,000), Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games – Night (8:30pm) (1,192,000), and Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games – Late Evening (10pm) (572,000). Sunrise also scored a huge boost yesterday, and The Chase bumped for Jess Fox’s run helping the late afternoon numbers (that ep will get a run later).
Seven first in both primary (32.4%) and network (45.6%) rankings.
Nine push on with A Current Affair (692,000) doing close to similar numbers as normal, though Beauty and the Geek (541,000) sinks a little further. The Weakest Link (187,000) finishes it’s normal season with its lowest numbers yet, and a double repeat of Kath & Kim (113,000; 108,000) almost shouldn’t have bothered.
Nine second in both primary (13.7%) and network (19.6%) rankings.
10 continue to lean into The Project (305,000 6:30pm; 441,000 7pm). Just as well Australian Survivor (618,000) is maintaining good numbers despite the Olympics. The Cheap Seats (286,000) almost halves the numbers from last week, though this is the first time it has faced off against the Games, and only its second ep. The night rounds out with a repeat of The Montreal Comedy Festival (98,000).
10 third in both primary (10.4%) and network (16.4%) rankings.
The ABC also pushing on with 7:30 (517,000) and a solid episode of Ms Represented (469,000). Catalyst: The Truth About Fasting (324,000) and a repeat of And We Danced (129,000) fill out the schedule.
ABC fourth in both primary (8.8%) and network (12.2%) rankings.
The season finale of Who Do You Think You Are? Australia (258,000) land the night for SBS, followed by a full return of their current affairs programming with Insight (190,000), Dateline (86,000), and The Feed (46,000).
SBS fifth in both primary (4%) and network (6.2%) rankings.
