Seven is continuing to expand its COVID-19 coverage with confirmation popular presenter Melissa Doyle is joining the hosting line-up for The Latest.

Doyle will join regular host Michael Usher co-hosting the special one-hour editions of The Latest from 7pm (AEDT) every night for the next two weeks. The massive desire for news has seen Seven decide to remove Home & Away from the schedule to make way for the additional news coverage.

The new primetime role for Doyle sees her return to television for the first time in 2020 after the axing of current affair program Sunday Night late last year.
