With the AFL still hoping to get the new season underway this week, one voice that will be missing from the action is Brian ‘BT’ Taylor.

Taylor is currently in Los Angeles working on bizarre mini-golf format Holey Moley. His filming commitments were always going to see him miss the traditional Thursday night opener and Friday night clash of round one. However, he had intended to be back at the MCG for Seven’s coverage of Hawthorn vs Brisbane on Sunday afternoon.

Now with new travel restrictions imposed by the Federal Government, BT will be required to enter 14 days of ‘self-isolation’ when he returns to Australia this weekend.

A spokesperson for Seven telling TV Blackbox filming for Holey Moley is “still on track at this stage,” despite the large number of tv productions currently being shutdown in the US due to the COVID-19 virus.

But this morning Taylor told the MMM Hot Breakfast team in Melbourne production has been suspended for a couple of days, not because of Coronavirus but due to bad weather condition.

Taylor believes shooting will resume due to the isolated location where they are shooting;

““We’re hoping to get a start again and I think it’s because we’re shooting on a ranch outside of L.A. and it’s a little more isolated, even though we have four or five hundred people we’re not necessarily coming into close contact with each other, so shooting is still going ahead at the moment.”

BT’s role on Holey Moley see’s him joined in the commentary booth by American actor/comedian Rob Riggle (Step Brothers, The Hangover, The Other Guy), Riggle is very familiar with the format having already hosted the US version.

The show will also feature Australian golfing great Greg Norman in a mentor role, while actress Olympia Valance will appear as a sideline reporter.
