Ten Eurovision contenders take to the stage in epic preview show

Ahead of the Live TV Final of Eurovision – Australian Decides on Saturday 8 February at 8.30pm AEDT, Australia’s ten 2020 Eurovision contenders took to the stage in an epic preview show on the Gold Coast. Performing to a live studio audience and a jury of industry experts, the jury will now cast their vote, and then it’s over to the Australian public to decide.

The ten acts vying for their shot to represent Australia on the world’s biggest stage are: powerhouse entertainer Casey Donovan with Proud, rising First Nations artist Mitch Tambo with Together, glam rock star iOTA with Life, The Voice winner Diana Rouvas with Can We Make Heaven, 19-year-old singer-songwriter Jordan-Ravi with Pushing Stars, Australia’s Got Talent winner Jack Vidgen with I Am King I Am Queen, Aussie icon Vanessa Amorosi with Lessons of Love, art pop auteur Montaigne with Don’t Break Me, alternative artist Didirri with Raw Stuff and multi-media artist Jaguar Jonze with Rabbit Hole.

The Australian public are eligible to vote for their favourite acts via SMS until Saturday 8 February at approximately 10:15pm AEDT*. To register a vote, voters must text the song number of their favourite acts listed here, and promoted during the program, to 1999 2222.The public vote makes up half of the overall vote. The artist and song that receives the most points overall will go on to represent Australia at the Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam, the Netherlands in May 2020.

Tune into the Live TV Final to see the winner revealed and watch ten celebrated Australia artists perform alongside local and international Eurovision royalty including winner of the inaugural Eurovision – Australia Decides Kate Miller-Heidke, Swedish pop phenomenon and winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 Måns Zelmerlöw, powerhouse vocalist and Eurovision 2016 runner up Dami Im and Australia’s 2019 Junior Eurovision representative Jordan Anthony.

Hosted by SBS Eurovisionaries comedian Joel Creasey and music buff Myf Warhurst, Eurovision – Australia Decides showcases the best of Australian music and is the only show on Australian TV show that celebrates original music.

Eurovision – Australia Decides is presented at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre and is broadcast live and exclusive across Australia on SBS on Saturday 8 February.
