The Seven Network and Supercars today announced that the 2020 Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour race will once again be broadcast on 7mate and 7plus.

All of the 12-hour race will be broadcast on 7mate, with Seven’s coverage anchored by iconic motorsports broadcaster and sports reporter, Mark Beretta.

This new agreement between Seven and Supercars reflects the success of the 2019 race. With an average audience across the 12 hours of 238,000 and a total reach of 1.66 million Australians on 7mate, plus over 2.4 million minutes of coverage live-streamed on 7plus, the 2019 race showcased the strength of marquee sporting events on Seven.

Commenting on the agreement, Lewis Martin, Managing Director Seven Melbourne and Head of Network Sport, Seven, said:

“We’ve always been passionate about motorsport at Seven, so we’re thrilled to be broadcasting the Bathurst 12 Hour race in 2020.

“This year’s race was a massive success, driving huge viewership across 7mate and 7plus, demonstrating the power of sports partnering with Seven to build their audience and reach Australians who love their events. I can’t wait for next year’s race.”

Supercars CEO Sean Seamer added:

“We’re really happy with how the line up is looking for the 12-hour in February and we’re looking forward to a great event. While we’d love to see as many people as possible make it out to Bathurst for the weekend, we’re sure our fans will appreciate the options available to watch the broadcast through an extended multi-platform broadcast arrangement.”

The 2020 Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour race will be broadcast on 7mate and 7plus on Sunday, 2 February 2020, commencing at 5.30 am and running until 6.00 pm AEDT.
