IN TONIGHT’S EPISODE: LODY TOLD JOJO SHE’S NOT COMING TO HER WEDDING, WHILE MICAH REFUSED TO CHANGE HIS POT-SMOKING WAYS FOR HIS FUTURE MOTHER-IN-LAW
Micah tells Catherine how it is!
Therapist Leanne Hall asked the parents to find a place that was special to them and invite their future son or daughter-in-law there to spend quality time together. Catherine invited Micah to a winery and asked him to call off the wedding until he could prove he was no longer taking drugs.
Catherine: “I haven’t seen any change and that’s why I wanted you to wait six months or a year until you’re more established in your work and you have a home set up that Milly and the baby can come to. I would want to see that you were not taking drugs.”
Micah revealed to a shocked Catherine that he was going to start smoking pot again after the retreat.
Catherine: “Don’t be a loser. Don’t be a stoner. I mean it.”
Micah: “Well, I don’t know if that will change but…”
Catherine: “Well, you promised me it will.”
Micah: “Why can’t someone just use something sparingly?”
Micah: “While I appreciate Catherine’s concerns about my cannabis usage, I don’t see myself ever stopping.”
Catherine walked away saying she was over it and Micah always twisted the truth.
Catherine: “I’m upset because I just feel he’s not truthful. I think he twists things.”
Laurelle apologizes to Codie Lea
Codie Lea was expecting more fireworks with Nathan’s mother. But as Laurelle shared her horse riding passion with Codie Lea, she opened up about the day that started all the tension between the two.
Laurelle: “It comes back to that day. If I didn’t help Nathan, I felt like ‘oh I’m letting him down’ and if I did help him, I’m letting you down, so I was torn between both. Do you know what I mean? So, it made me feel like I wasn’t trusted.”
All Laurelle ever wanted was that one-on-one time with her granddaughter and she expressed to Codie Lea that going from having that time with her, to nothing, really upset her.
Codie Lea disagreed telling Laurelle she did want her to see Starr and they never stopped her from seeing her, but she was just trying to protect her daughter and keep her in their home until she was vaccinated.
Codie Lea: “I feel like once again, it’s that miscommunication and I think that’s all it comes down to.” Laurelle agreed.
Codie Lea expressed how hurt she felt after the words Laurelle said about her looks, which Laurelle apologised for. Codie Lea believed they’d made huge progress and Nathan said it’s all he’s ever dreamt of.
JoJo’s relationship with her parents breaks down
JoJo asked Leanne for a therapy session with her parents after their last distressing meeting with her father. JoJo opened up to her parents explaining she felt embarrassed and ashamed that they were her parents right now and believed they didn’t have enough ‘courage, guts and balls’ to stand up for their child.
JoJo then angered Sid by asking why he was ashamed and embarrassed of her because all she did was fall in love.
JoJo: “For dad to be ashamed and embarrassed, of me? Dad? You’re ashamed and embarrassed of me? What have I done other than fallen in love?”
Sid: “Listen Joanne, I said to you the other day, you didn’t get it through your head. I won’t say anymore to you.
Lody: “I wish I was gone a long time ago, after my daughter so I didn’t have to hear these words.”
JoJo is disgusted and tells her parents that they will be out of their lives after they are married.
The situation escalated after JoJo asked her parents why they had kids.
Lody: “I didn’t know I was going to have one not normal.”
Lody declared she doesn’t want to see JoJo anymore – her sister is dead and JoJo can be gone as well and she will not go to their wedding.

Back on land, Jess’ parents arrive to help her choose a wedding dress and are shocked to hear the things Sid and Lody have said to the couple. Micah’s mum Deirdre arrives from California for lunch with Catherine, Milly & Micah, but the meeting spirals out of control with Deirdre demanding to know why Catherine kicked Micah out of her home.
