IN TONIGHT’S EPISODE: JESS CONFRONTED SID AND LODY ABOUT JOJO’S SECRET HEARTACHE WHILE LAURELLE’S JEALOUSY AND SABOTAGE PLANS WERE REVEALED.
Codie Lea & Nathan
The parents’ tests continued with explosive results. After Laurelle had Codie Lea sit a lie detector test, Codie Lea turned the tables asking Laurelle to submit to one too. The results shocked Codie Lea and Nathan.
Laurelle was asked, “Are you trying to ruin the relationship between Nathan and Codie Lea?” Laurelle answered, “No.” TRUE.
Second question, “Did you come here to mend your relationship with Codie Lea and Nathan?” She answered, “No.” TRUE
Lastly,” Are you jealous of the relationship between Codie Lea and Nathan?” Laurelle answered, “No.” FALSE.
After Codie Lea discussed the results with Nathan, feelings toward Laurelle change. Nathan: “I am very disappointed in her.”
Tori & James
Mary-Ann presented James with a list of ‘respect goals’ to follow, but he was outraged when she inferred he had a substance abuse problem and stormed off in disgust.
Mary-Ann: “Listen and comprehend what I have to say. Don’t talk over me when I’m speaking. Don’t use foul language. Treat and speak to me with respect. Treat and speak to Victoria with respect. Slow down and think before you speak. Be truthful about now and in the past. Address the alcohol issues you have. Address the pot-smoking issues you have.”
James: “I don’t do drugs.”
Mary-Ann: “James!”
James: “Nah, f**k you, f**k you, I don’t do drugs. If you’re going to lie…”
Dannii & Denton
Donna believes Denton is a spoilt rich kid who doesn’t respect her. She tested Denton by asking him to wear a sandwich board in the middle of the city, saying ‘I’m not better than my ‘maybe’ future mother in law.’ Denton took it in his stride and did the test, but Dannii was upset that Denton was humiliated.
Denton: “I copped it on the chin. As a joke, they made me stand in front of an iron pig.”
Dannii: “Wow…okay. It wasn’t even the sign that made me really upset. It was more that Denton had to stand in front of a pig. To tell someone that they are a pig is not a nice thing.”
Jess & JoJo
JoJo’s parents Sid and Lody met her partner Jess in a church to highlight how important their faith is and how it prevents them from supporting their daughter’s wedding. In an explosive confrontation, Jess told JoJo’s parents she was at breaking point over how distressed JoJo is because her father won’t walk her down the aisle. But Sid says he cannot do it because he would be ashamed to. Lody claims JoJo wasn’t gay before Jess met her.
Jess: “Joanne is really breaking right now. Her heart is in pieces and she’s feeling abandoned and upset.”
Lody: “She’s upset?”
Jess: “Do you guys understand how much hurt and pain Joanne and I have been through? We have copped so much just trying to be together, we are so happy. I’m at breaking point, sick of staying up at night while your daughter cries herself to sleep because no-one in her family accepts her. You say you love your daughter, yet she’s crying herself to sleep because you love her with conditions.”
Sid: “I’m sorry Jess, I don’t mean to hurt anybody.”
Jess: “And then it’s me and my family who are trying to comfort your daughter so she feels like she still has a family. You have no idea what that feels like. Jo won’t break down in front of you, but I’m sick of picking up the pieces. God gave you that child and you’re not accepting her because she’s gay?
Lody: “She wasn’t gay before she met you!”
