Two-time Coleman Medallist Josh Kennedy (WCE) will go head-to-head against fellow big kicks Taylor Walker, Daniel Rich and Brodie Smith in this Saturday’s FOX FOOTY Longest Kick in a bid to take home the ugliest trophy in world sport (and the second biggest prize of the season).
Twelve current AFL and AFLW players plus one huge booting wildcard will aim to make the distance over the Yarra River when they compete in FOX FOOTY’s Longest Kick on Grand Final Day.
Carlton’s Tayla Harris will aim to replicate the kicking style she is most famous for as she takes on recent Richmond recruit Sabrina Frederick.
Up and coming Carlton power forward Charlie Curnow and Melbourne ball magnet Clayton Oliver represent the young guns while Fremantle’s Aaron Sandilands and Brisbane’s Daniel Rich represent the veterans.
In his first year at the club, exciting Hawk Chad Wingard and Crows super-boot Brodie Smith round out the $10,000 competition.
Singing superstar Guy Sebastian will headline the day, belting out fan-favourite singles to open and close the competition. He will also have his own chance to show off what he has learned from his beloved Crows, as he gets a kick in the KFC Celebrity Challenge.
Sebastian and “All Loved Up” singer Amy Shark will join team captains Nick Riewoldt and Jonathan Brown as they choose their team of kickers from the celebrity group.
Straight from their Ashes success, Nathan Lyon and Pat Cummins, basketball legend Andrew Gaze and number one Supercars driver Scott McLaughlin will also participate.
Masked Singer judge Dave Hughes and comedian Anne Edmonds will bring the laughs as the two aim to kick the distance.
Gogglebox favourites and one-eyed footy fans Adam and Symon will try to improve on their efforts from last year.
FOX FOOTY Longest Kick will be part of a bigger prelude to the big dance, with the best expert commentary team in the business broadcasting LIVE from 10am on Grand Final Day.
All the action kicks off on Friday with the Grand Final Parade live from 11am and a very special Grand Final Eve edition of AFL 360 at 7.30pm.
This Sunday will be back-to-back Bounce from midday until 8.30pm before the Grand Final replay airs again.
