Mary J. Blige joins cast of POWER sequel coming soon to STAN

Grammy winner and Oscar nominated megastar Mary J. Blige is joining the cast of the first Power sequel, Power Book II: Ghost – with all episodes coming soon to Stan.

“We have alluded previously to various spin-offs, prequels and other expansions of the ‘Power’ Universe,”

said executive producers Courtney A. Kemp and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson recently at the Television Critics Association Summer 2019 Press Tour in Hollywood.

“We are pleased to announce that we are in pre-production on the first of what we know will be a collection of series inspired by the dynamic world of ‘Power.’ ‘Power Book II: Ghost’ will continue the journey of some of ‘Power’s’ most controversial characters. Joining the cast of the new series and the ‘Power’ family, please welcome world-renowned recording artist and Oscar nominee Mary J. Blige.”

It was also announced at the press tour that Power season six will be broadcast in two parts. The 10-episode Part I premiered on Stan on Sunday 25th August, while Part II, which will consist of the final five episodes, will debut on Stan in January next year.

Stan is also streaming Power Confidential, the exclusive companion piece to the ultimate season of the hit series Power. The after-show is available to watch immediately following the premiere of each new episode of Power.

Power Confidential highlights the most memorable and jaw-dropping moments from that week’s episode, provides exclusive behind-the-scenes insights and gives viewers a taste of what’s to come. The cast and creators of Power are also joined by celebrity fans and surprise guests.

Power is a visionary drama from Starz that straddles the glamorous Manhattan lifestyles of the rich and infamous and the underworld of the international drug trade. The cast is led by Omari Hardwick as James “Ghost” St. Patrick, a man trying to escape his role as a drug kingpin for a legitimized life in the elite of NYC; Joseph Sikora as his brother in arms in the drug business, Tommy Egan; Naturi Naughton plays Ghost’s fierce wife Tasha St. Patrick; and Lela Loren is his first love, Assistant U.S. Attorney Angela Valdes.

Power Season 6 is streaming now only on Stan with new episodes dropping weekly
