Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson stars in the latest season of the hit HBO comedy that examines the competitive and ever- changing world of pro football, as seen through the eyes of current and former players looking for fulfilling – and lucrative – futures on and off the field.
This season finds Spencer (Dwayne Johnson) settling into retirement and reflecting on his past, when an offer that’s too good to refuse comes his way and sends him back into the lion’s den, this time as a team owner. In the wake of his split with Spencer, an ambitious Joe (Rob Corddry) gambles aggressively to make Sports X greater than ever with the help of his new partner, Lance (Russell Brand).
Executive produced by and starring Hollywood icon Dwayne Johnson and helmed by longtime HBO writer/producer Steve Levinson (Entourage, Boardwalk Empire), Ballers brings things to the next level in Season 5 as Spencer goes after his biggest opportunity yet, while looking back at the rocky history that has made him who he is.
