BOB HAWKE: STATE MEMORIAL SERVICE
Tune in to the ABC this Friday, June 14, to farewell Australia’s longest-serving Labor Prime Minister and national icon, the Honourable Robert James Lee Hawke AC.
The State Memorial Service of the political giant will take place at the Sydney Opera House where hundreds will gather to celebrate his remarkable life.
ABC’s television coverage will begin at 10:30am AEST on ABC TV and ABC NEWS with commentary from Michael Rowland and Jeremy Fernandez. It will be simulcast live to every state on ABC TV, and internationally on ABC Australia.
ABC Radio’s coverage, introduced by Phil Clark and Cassie McCullagh, will commence at 11:05am AEST and will be broadcast across all local ABC Radio stations.
