International guests announced for 61st TV WEEK LOGIE AWARDS

It promises to be a night of celebration and international surprises when the stars of much-loved American TV comedy series Young Sheldon walk the red carpet at this year’s TV WEEK Logie Awards. And there’s no “Bazinga!” about it!

They’ll be joining a who’s who of wonderful television talent on Sunday, June 30, when The Star Gold Coast hosts the most prestigious event on the Australian entertainment calendar.

Alongside 10-year-old Iain Armitage, who plays comical child prodigy Sheldon Cooper, will be Zoe Perry (his patient on-screen mum, Mary), Lance Barber (his loveable dad George) and mischievous siblings 16-year-old Montana Jordan (George Jnr) and 11-year-old Raegan Revord (Missy).

Young Sheldon was created as a prequel to award-winning US sitcom The Big Bang Theoryboth of which air on Nine Network in AustraliaThe show premiered in September 2017 to rave reviews and, after two successful seasons, has recently been renewed for a third and fourth season.

TV WEEK editor Thomas Woodgate said;

“This is such wonderful news for this year’s TV WEEK Logie Awards. I’m so excited to welcome the cast of Young Sheldon to TV’s night of nights at The Star Gold Coast on Queensland’s gorgeous Gold Coast. They’ll bring a lot of star power to TV’s biggest and best awards show. I can’t wait to see them all strut the red carpet on June 30.”

Feel the excitement build from 7pm on the night of the awards as arrivals show hosts David CampbellSylvia Jeffreys and Leila McKinnon chat to the hottest stars as they arrive for the glittering event.

David said;

“I’m looking forward to my first time ever hosting the glitz and glamour of the TV WEEK Logies Red Carpet. I’m hoping for some great interviews and that I don’t get carpet-burned!

The 61st TV WEEK Logie Awards will take place on Sunday, June 30, at The Star Gold Coast in Queensland. All the action from the red-carpet arrivals and awards-show celebrations will be telecast on the Nine Network and 9Now.
