With last week’s elimination proving no one is safe, there was another shock elimination in tonight’s Dancing With The Stars as Michelle Bridges and her partner Aric quickstepped for the final time.

Despite an impressive routine and a victory over Constance Hall in the dance off, it still wasn’t to be for the fitness icon.

In her departing words she paid tribute to her dance partner Aric, saying:

“He’s been through thick and thin with me and has the patience of a saint. I’m sorry we didn’t keep going but I’m also really grateful for the experience.”

Finishing top of the leaderboard and immune from the dance off, Courtney Act wowed in a contemporary performance to a cover of Radiohead’s Creep. Scoring the first 10 of the season from Sharna and capturing the romantic turmoil of being gender fluid, the drag performer’s score was a season best of 28.

Jett Kenny was a little off step during his foxtrot to Shawn Mendes’ In My Blood, scoring 17, while Jimmy Rees also foxtrotted to Hold My Girl by George Ezra. Even though the judges criticised his frame and incorrect eye-line, he managed to equal Michelle’s score of 22.

Instead of shying away from her romantic past, Constance Hall embraced it and jived her way through Elle King’s Ex’s & Oh’s. With a controversial grind over Gustavo’s face and Sharna demanding she take on more challenging choreography, the blogger received her lowest score to date, 15 points.

Sir Curtly Ambrose flicked and kicked his way through rock ‘n’ roll classic, What I Like About You. Unfortunately, the judges deemed him half a beat behind the routine and he landed on the lowest score of nine. Going up against Jimmy Rees in the dance off, the cricketing legend didn’t fare any better and was also in jeopardy of elimination.

After showcasing two emotional dances in a row, tonight saw Samuel Johnson show his cheeky side, shaking his jazz hands to swing classic Mr Bojangles. Using his busking past as inspiration, Samuel was officially back, scoring a personal best of 26.

First up in the dance offs it was Samuel and Jorja against Jett and Lily dancing the jive. Craig said both couples did brilliantly but it was a clean sweep for Jett, landing three bonus points. Even though they had never attempted a samba before, Jimmy and Alex were victorious over Sir Curtly and Siobhan.

Next week on Dancing With The Stars it’s the judges who take control of the choreography and jump onstage to perform with the six remaining celebrities.

With US Dancing With The Stars champion Bindi Irwin joining the panel as a guest judge, Craig, Sharna and Tristan will have to put their moves where their mouths are to prove they can deliver the goods on the dance floor.

Dancing With The Stars – Live Mondays At 7.30pm on 10 and WIN Networks.
