Network Ten is delighted to announce that acclaimed Australian journalist, newsreader and
presenter Jennifer Keyte is joining the team at TEN Eyewitness News First At Five
Melbourne as Presenter.
Ms Keyte, who has presented Seven Network’s weekend news in Melbourne since 2003, will
join Weather Presenter Mike Larkan later this year.
Ms Keyte said: “I am thrilled to be joining the team to present TEN Eyewitness News First At Five in Melbourne. Returning to Ten, the launching pad of my career in television/broadcast journalism, is both exciting and sentimental. I am really looking forward to coming home and being part of the team again.”
Network Ten’s Network Director of News Content, Ross Dagan, said: “Jennifer is one of
Melbourne’s favourite and most accomplished news presenters and reporters. She knows
Melbourne and Victoria intimately and understands what viewers want.
“Jennifer and Mike are institutions of the Melbourne media profession and will make a
fantastic team, bringing Victorians the best of international, national and local news
coverage.
“I would also like to pay tribute to Stephen Quartermain, who has fronted our Melbourne
bulletin for more than four years. He is a class act and we appreciate all he has done, not
just in the news chair, but over his many years with the network, particularly in sport,” he
said.
Network Ten is in discussions with Mr Quartermain about a substantive role to continue his
long association with the network.

Starting her career as a cadet with Melbourne radio station EON-FM, Ms Keyte switched to
television in 1982, joining Network Ten as a reporter and presenter.
From Ten, Ms Keyte went on to the Seven and Nine networks, presenting news bulletins and
hosting prime time series and specials. In the early 1990s, she became the first woman to
host a prime time news bulletin solo on Australian commercial television.
A keen theatre goer and a passionate Essendon supporter, Ms Keyte enjoys travel, cycling,
walking and reading. Away from television, she has been closely involved with many
organisations, including The Royal Children’s Hospital, Breast Cancer Institute of Australia
and World Vision.
