Paul Murray said: “For once, it’s all about WA. For too long we get distracted by the news from Sydney or Canberra. But now it’s WA’s turn to take the spotlight. I want to hear from fired up people who are passionate about Perth and love WA.

I want to know if they want to change the government, or politics as a whole with forces like One Nation. We had a record crowd for our show on the Sunshine Coast, so come on Perth let’s set a new record.”

On Thursday March 9, Paul Murray LIVE will also broadcast from the Pan Pacific Hotel, Perth at 6:00pm AWST / 9:00pm AEDT, just ahead of the People’s Forum.

SKY NEWS, in partnership with The West Australian, will host a People’s Forum with Opposition Leader Mark McGowan on Thursday March 9 to find out what West Australians are really thinking in the run up to the WA Election.

Premier Colin Barnett was invited to participate in the People’s Forum however he declined the opportunity.

The forum will be held at the Pan Pacific Hotel in Perth, where Mr McGowan will take questions from undecided voters chosen by Galaxy polling.

SKY NEWS Political Editor David Speers will moderate the one-hour LIVE forum from 7:00pm AWST / 10:00pm AEDT on SKY NEWS LIVE.

David said: “A forum like this provides a unique opportunity to hear how a leader performs off-script and away from the topics journalists are usually focused on.  Voters often have very different priorities and ask some fascinating questions.  How a leader handles this situation can be a good guide on how well connected they really are to the people.”
