Australia’s Dami Im has been voted through to the Eurovision Grand Final.
Dami performed her song ‘Sound of Silence’ on the Eurovision stage overnight in Stockholm, wowing the crowd in the arena, the worldwide viewing audience, and the voting juries in each country.
Dami Im said:
“It was such an adrenaline rush to perform on the Eurovision stage tonight. I could feel the crowd in the arena behind me and I really gave my performance everything I had. I’m so happy that the voting juries and viewers at home connected with ‘Sound of Silence’ – at the end of the day that’s what I really wanted.
“The support here from fans in Stockholm and everyone back in Australia, especially my Dami Army, has been incredible. I hope I do Australia proud in the Grand Final.”
Dami Im has stormed to the top of betting after her performance in the Semi Final. An online bookmaker has slashed her odds to win from $19 into $5.00 – making her the second favourite behind Russia which is paying $1.70 for the win.
