The residents of Inverness are dressed in their finest and ready for the cameras to roll, when production begins Today, Monday, February 29 on the fourth season of A PLACE TO CALL HOME.

Season four will focus on the relationships between the characters as affected by two contrasting social issues. The first is the conservative wave of fear generated by the “Reds Under the Beds” scare surrounding The Petrov Affair.  The second, the wave of liberal change that opened up new social and moral choices.

A PLACE TO CALL HOME’s Season 4 cast includes Marta Dusseldorp (Sarah Nordmann), Noni Hazlehurst (Elizabeth Bligh), Brett Climo (George Bligh), David Berry (James Bligh), Abby Earl(Anna Poletti), Arianwen Parkes-Lockwood (Olivia Bligh), Craig Hall (Dr Jack Duncan) Frankie J Holden (Roy Briggs), Aldo Mignone(Gino Poletti), Sara Wiseman (Carolyn Bligh), Jenni Baird (Regina Bligh) and Deborah Kennedy (Doris Collins). Along with returning guest cast Brenna Harding (Rose O’Connell), Tim Draxl ( Dr Henry Fox), Mark Lee (Sir Richard Bennett) and Rick Donald ( Lloyd Ellis Parker).

A PLACE TO CALL HOME is produced by Seven Productions for Foxtel’s SoHo channel. Foxtel’s Head of Drama Penny Win and Seven’s Head of Drama Julie McGauran are Executive Producers. Series Producer is Chris Martin Jones. The series is created and written by Bevan Lee (Script Executive) and Katherine Thompson is Script Producer. Directors are Shirley Barrett, Kriv Stenders, Catherine Millar and Tony Krawitz.

A proven ratings success for Foxtel, the Season 3 premiere episode of A PLACE TO CALL HOME attracted half a million viewers, making it Subscription TV’s 7th highest rating episode of all-time. The S3 cume audience was 418,000 viewers, this marks the second largest cume audience for a local production year to date and amongst dramas this is the second largest ever only trailing the epic Game of Thrones.

The series has also won international fans and critics, including the United Kingdom, Israel, The Netherlands and the U.S.A.  With the Wall Street Journal offering this high praise “A Place to Call Home is a captivatingly filmed, deeply romantic drama of immense intelligence distinguished by a uniformly superb cast.”

A PLACE TO CALL HOME SEASON FOUR will premiere on Foxtel’s SoHo channel in late 2016.
