The ABC has confirmed season 3 of the award-winning comedy drama Please Like Me will premiere on ABC TV, Thursday October 15th at 9:30pm. The comedy/drama starring Josh Thomas as explores the complicated life of a young man who is in no hurry to grow up.

Its likely, (but unconfirmed) that ABC will launch the series on iview prior to broadcast. This is the first time a season of Please Like Me has premiered on the main channel. Due to budget cuts, ABC has moved away from producing original content for ABC2.
Please Like Me has earned nominations for the International Emmy Awards, the Rose d’Or Awards, the GLAAD Media Awards, the Logie Awards, and for nine AACTA Awards, winning trophies for Best Comedy Series, Best Screenplay in Television and Best Performance in a TV Comedy.

In season three, new characters arrive, complications ensue, and a cast of extraordinary performers competes again for screentime with John the cavoodle. Josh and Tom acquire new housemates: some fluffy, innocent baby chickens. Josh is also trying to acquire a new boyfriend, the anxiety-ridden Arnold, but Arnold is struggling to commit.to a relationship.
Tom, for a change, is single. Mum, newly emerged from the psychiatric hospital, has a new housemate in her fellow patient, Hannah. Claire is back in Germany, but spends a lot of time on Skype to Josh and Tom. Dad, Mae and Grace are settling into the chaotic routine of a new family, until Mae drops a bombshell.
Joining the cast in Season 3 is acclaimed actress and winner of a British Independent Film Award and AFI and IF Awards for Best Actress, Emily Barclay (The Light Between Oceans, Suburban Mayhem, ABC TV’s Glitch), as Ella, and awardwinning standup comedian David Quirk as Ben. Special guest stars include comedy legend Gina Riley as Arnold’s mum, Donna, and Geoff Morrell as Arnold’s dad, Bruce.
Original cast members reprising their roles for season three alongside Josh Thomas are Caitlin Stasey (Claire), Thomas Ward (Tom), Hannah Gadsby (Hannah), Keegan Joyce (Arnold), Debra Lawrance in her AACTA Award-winning role of Mum, David Roberts (Dad), Renee Lim (Mae) and, arguably the show’s biggest star, Josh’s dog, John.
