The Nine Network has increased it’s commitment to cricket confirming it will broadcast the first ever Day/Night Test Match this Summer as well as sending a full Australian commentary team to England for the upcoming Ashes Tour.
One of world sport’s greatest rivalries will soon be reignited when Australia take on England, “the old enemy”, in The 2015 Ashes – broadcast live, free and exclusive from the United Kingdom, starting July 8 at 7.30pm AEST on the Nine Network.
The Nine Network and Cricket Australia has confirmed that this year will see the first Day-Night Test Match with the Adelaide Test to be broadcast from 3pm to 10pm Sydney Time. The Nov 27th match between Australia and New Zealand will be played using a Pink Ball and will feature a 20min Lunch break and a 40min Dinner break to allow for evening News bulletins to be broadcast
This winter viewers will catch every ball, every run and every wicket in one of the most intense and enduring sporting rivalries of all time when The Ashes, live in prime time, screen on free-to-air television and in high definition on GEM.
The Nine Network’s live broadcast of Australia’s tour of England will include The Ashes Test Series, one Twenty20 International and the One Day International Series between Australia and England. Nine’s expert commentary team will feature Mark Taylor, Ian Healy, Michael Slater, Shane Warne, Brett Lee, Michael Vaughan and David “Bumble” Lloyd
