Bump: A Christmas Film delivers a final hurrah for the Chalmers-Davis clan, mixing family mayhem with holiday spirit aboard a cruise to South America.
The Chalmers-Davis clan is trading Sydney’s summer sun for a Christmas at sea, as Stan unwraps the trailer for Bump: A Christmas Film, a one-off holiday special arriving on November 30.
Aimed at fans craving one more chaotic celebration, the feature brings back the much-loved Bump ensemble for what’s being described as Angie’s last Christmas.
Set between episodes nine and ten of the show’s final season, the film sends the family on a South American cruise, with plans for a warm, cultural Christmas reunion showcasing Colombian traditions. But, as usual for the Chalmers-Davis crew, nothing quite goes to plan — their dream holiday quickly spirals into comedic disarray.
With Angie (Claudia Karvan) very much alive, and Oly (Nathalie Morris) and Santi (Carlos Sanson Jr.) juggling life with their eight-week-old baby Angelo, the special promises a mix of heart, humour and holiday havoc.
The film features the return of the entire core cast — Nathalie Morris, Carlos Sanson Jr., Claudia Karvan, Angus Sampson, Christian Byers, and Ava Cannon — alongside extended family members Paula Garcia, Claudia de Giusti, Alex Sanson, Jerónimo Llorente, and Oscar Leal. Several new faces will also join the festive fun, including Sara Marmolejo, Wilbert Olaya, Will Rodriguez, and Lilian Alejandra Valverde.
Produced by Roadshow Rough Diamond — the team behind Romper Stomper — Bump: A Christmas Film is helmed by producers Dan Edwards, John Edwards, Claudia Karvan, and Kelsey Munro, who also wrote the screenplay. Direction comes from Margie Beattie, with Cailah Scobie and Donna Chang serving as Executive Producers for Stan.
The production was financed with assistance from Screen NSW through the Made in NSW Fund, and ITV Studios will handle international sales.
