On last night’s Farmer Wants A Wife, a series of double dates ended in unexpected twists as several ladies made the difficult decision to leave the farms.
Farmer Tom was left blindsided when Emmie and Bridget exited without warning, while elsewhere Farmer Thomas, Jarrad and Corey each faced emotional farewells after high-stakes double dates.
As the farmers grow closer to finding love, the road ahead is looking anything but smooth.
From Seven:
Last night on Farmer Wants A Wife: As Claire, Eliza, Keeley and Chloe basked in the glow of their 24-hour one-on-one dates, the dynamics quickly shifted when the other ladies joined the farms, each quizzing their farmers about their romantic dates.
Farmer Tom put his ladies straight to work on the farm with fitness coach Emmie shocked by the turn of events:
“I did not expect farm life to just kick off as soon as we got here. I was like, yeah maybe we’ll ease into it.”
Asking for volunteers to shear the sheep, Emmie was the last to take part and wasn’t a fan of the process, telling Tom she was more of an “observer.”
Later that night as Emma, Georgie and Eliza helped Tom prepare dinner, Emmie and Bridget watched on from the sidelines.
During dinner, all farmers received a text message from host Natalie Gruzlewski asking them to choose two ladies to take on a double date, knowing they would have to send one lady home at the end of the date.
Noticing Emmie and Bridget removing themselves from the group, Tom decided to take both ladies on the double date.
“Emmie didn’t really like the shearing, and last night, Bridget took herself off to read a book. I’m thinking I might take them on to double date to check in and see how they are doing.”

But Tom was blindsided when both Emmie and Bridget decided to leave the farm before he had announced his picks for double date. Choosing not to say goodbye or explain why, the girls left together in a cab. Disappointed, but remaining philosophical Tom said: “It’s good that they know what they are after.”
In South Australia, Farmer Thomas invited Nat and Clarette to join him on the double date. Clarette was disappointed by the invitation, “It’s probably the worst outcome unfortunately, but hopefully I’ll shine in my own way, and he’ll get to see that.” Thomas took the ladies sandboarding at his favourite beach before asking Nat to leave the farm at the farewell dinner.
Farmer Jarrad invited Maneesha and Bri on the double date, taking the ladies for a picnic and an afternoon of swimming and fishing. At dinner, Jarrad farewelled Maneesha, unable to handle the pressure of dating multiple women.
After a day of farmwork with the ladies, Farmer Corey invited Hunter and Rosie for the double date, making Hunter “super nervous” as she started second guessing why Corey chose her.
Corey took Hunter and Rosie for a game of tennis. The pressure of the double date and possible elimination proved too much for an emotional Rosie as she burst into tears mid game and had to be comforted by Corey. Later that night, Rosie decided to leave the farm.
Tuesday night on Farmer Wants A Wife: Our Farmers and ladies head off to the first Farmer Wants A Wife event – The Bullarama! As the spectacular bull riding kicks off, there’s high drama as the sun goes down.
Tension builds with Corey’s camp as his ladies discover more than one of them has kissed him. Farmer Tom’s Emma is keen for more time with him – but will it go as planned? And Farmer Thomas is in turmoil as one of his ladies has doubts about her connection with him.
Who will the Farmers choose for the next solo date?
