In the aftermath of The Block, Leah and Ash adjust their selling strategy and cut the house price, hoping for a successful sale in 2024.

Leah and Ash from The Block are yet to celebrate a house sale this festive season.

The duo, who left the show’s grand finale without any profit, now face the challenge of selling their property in a slow market.

The couple’s home, initially listed for $3.2 million, has seen a price reduction to $3.125 million. This move aims to attract buyers in the coming New Year, as revealed by their real estate agency, Buxton Hampton.

The agency has shifted gears, adopting a “traditional” selling campaign. “We’ve just commenced doing open for inspections over the last two weeks, swung it into, I guess, a normalised campaign,” stated an agent from the firm. The open house strategy over two Saturdays and midweek has attracted genuine interest, albeit not in large numbers.

The agent noted, “We haven’t been inundated with people – I thought once we opened it up we’d get a lot of fans and so forth … but we’ve had genuine people coming to have a look which has been good.

Despite the slow progress, Leah remains optimistic. Speaking to Channel 9, she confirmed, “No, it has not sold yet.” The journey to a sale has been rocky, with several near-successes but ultimately no final deal. However, the couple is far from giving up.

Looking ahead to 2024, Leah shared their ambitions.

Goals for next year … hopefully we make it to the timeline and finish [our] house, and then we just want to do what we love doing – design and build.

We’ll get stuck into property development, and I think it will be really exciting to take you guys along on that process. We’ll continue doing client renovation work as well.

She concluded with a positive outlook for the coming year, hoping for a much-needed break over Christmas before resuming their endeavors in January.

The situation faced by Leah and Ash stands out, as they are the only couple from ‘The Block’ who have not yet succeeded in selling their property.

  1. They are overpriced I would pay anywhere near that asking price .
Television reality show overpriced is the sale killer .

  2. I don’t want to join their journey of further raising property prices.why the show is popular in this climate has me stuffed. Annoying people, hastily rushing homes to be sold to Uber rich investors.nah .

  3. She has awful style, the house is fugly and I never want to see them again on TV. Please go away now.

  4. Ash seems like a likeable enough guy – but Leah was a bitch from beginning to end. Tried to blame Kristy for being EXACTLY the same as her and never TRUTHFULLY apologised – to Kristy or Liza and Liberty – or particularly maybe to Steph! And the way she asked Lesley if she could audit them – GOOD on you Les for reclaiming your coupons! I wish that the fact that their house has not sold allows her to reflect on some of her behaviour which I personally believe has effected this sale – Sadly – I think she’s too arrogant to try to see that she has a role in it. Enjoy the car Ash coz methinks its the best outcome you could get for being married to an abhorrent bitch who wants everything her way but can’t see when she’s pushing things too far. Narcisist de luxe.
