Ahead of its anticipated debut on 15 January, BINGE and Foxtel has unveiled the official trailer and key art for its new series, Belgravia: The Next Chapter. Set to air every Sunday, the series promises to captivate audiences with its blend of historical drama and intriguing narrative.
Belgravia: The Next Chapter serves as a sequel to the widely acclaimed series Belgravia, set in the prestigious London district known for its 19th-century high society. This production is a collaboration between Carnival Films and the team behind Downton Abbey and The Gilded Age. The story centers on the next generation of residents in Belgravia, introducing new characters while bringing back familiar faces.
The cast is led by Harriet Slater, portraying Clara Trenchard, alongside Benjamin Wainwright as Frederick Trenchard, Edward Bluemel, Toby Regbo, Hannah Onslow, Sophie Thompson, Claude Perron, Sophie Winkleman, and Elaine Cassidy. Returning from the original series are Alice Eve and Richard Goulding.
Set in 1871, the series picks up three decades after the original, written by Julian Fellowes. Helen Edmundson, a renowned playwright and screenwriter, has developed and written this sequel. The narrative explores the love story of Frederick Trenchard and Clara Dunn, delving into themes of insecurity and romance.
The creative team from Carnival Films, including Gareth Neame, Nigel Marchant, Julian Fellowes, and Joanna Strevens, reunite to executive produce the series, with Edmundson also serving as the showrunner. Directors include John Alexander, Paul Wilmshurst, Marisol Adler, and Roger Goldby.
Colin Wratten, the producer of the original series, returns in the same role. Belgravia: The Next Chapter is a co-production between Carnival Films and MGM+ Studios, distributed by NBCUniversal Global Distribution. Carnival Films is a division of Universal International Studios.
