The special, “The Church on Ruby Road,” is steeped in mystery and holiday lore. The narrative unfurls from a poignant beginning where a baby is forsaken in the snow on Christmas Eve. Fast forward to the present, Ruby Sunday crosses paths with the Doctor, encountering stolen babies, goblins, and possibly the truth about her own origin.

This Christmas Special is notable for its star-studded additional cast. Davina McCall appears as herself, joined by Michelle Greenidge as Carla Sunday, Angela Wynter as Cherry Sunday, and Anita Dobson in the role of Mrs. Flood.

“Doctor Who,” a production of Bad Wolf and BBC Studios, is executive produced by writer and showrunner Davies, along with Jane Tranter, Julie Gardner, Joel Collins, and Phil Collinson. These specials mark a significant milestone, celebrating the iconic series’ 60th Anniversary.

Furthermore, fans can now stream “Doctor Who” 60th Anniversary Specials “The Star Beast,” “Wild Blue Yonder,” and “The Giggle” on Disney+. For Australian viewers, new episodes of “Doctor Who” will be available on Disney+.
