Netflix has revealed that the highly acclaimed series BRIDGERTON will be making a grand return with its third season in 2024.

This new season, described as both ultra-sexy and opulent, will be presented in two parts. The first segment is scheduled to premiere on May 16, 2024, followed by the second on June 13, 2024.

Fans have been eagerly awaiting news on the continuation of the storyline, particularly the evolving relationship between Penelope Featherington (played by Nicola Coughlan) and Colin Bridgerton (portrayed by Luke Newton). This pairing, endearingly known as #Polin among the fanbase, is set to take center stage in the upcoming season.

The announcement was made through an official video that included a voiceover from Lady Whistledown, a key character in the series. The video uniquely incorporated enthusiastic fan reactions, including tweets, social media comments, and TikTok videos, all expressing the heightened anticipation for the new season.

Under the new showrunner Jess Brownell, season 3 of Bridgerton is expected to delve deeper into the characters’ lives. The focus is on Penelope Featherington, who, after being disheartened by Colin Bridgerton’s remarks in the previous season, has decided to pursue marriage. However, her quest for independence is hindered by her lack of confidence and her secret life as Lady Whistledown.

In a surprising turn, Colin Bridgerton returns from his travels with a renewed sense of self-assurance but finds himself at odds with Penelope. In an attempt to mend their friendship, Colin offers to help Penelope gain confidence, which leads to unforeseen complications in their relationship.

The season also highlights the strained relationship between Penelope and Eloise Bridgerton (played by Claudia Jessie), as well as the challenges Penelope faces in maintaining her secret identity.

BRIDGERTON Season 3, consisting of eight episodes, is filmed in London, UK. The series boasts an impressive ensemble cast, including Nicola Coughlan, Luke Newton, Claudia Jessie, Luke Thompson, Golda Rosheuvel, Adjoa Andoh, Ruth Gemmell, and the voice of Julie Andrews as Lady Whistledown.

The executive producers of the show are Shonda Rhimes, Betsy Beers, Tom Verica, and Chris Van Dusen, ensuring the series continues to captivate audiences with its blend of romance, drama, and lavish settings.

BRIDGERTON Season 3 is set to premiere on Netflix on May 16, 2024.
