Premiere Date Announced for “True Detective: Night Country” Featuring Jodie Foster
The much-awaited six-episode drama series, True Detective: Night Country, is set to premiere on January 15, exclusively on BINGE, with subsequent episodes releasing every Monday. This series marks the return of the award-winning True Detective franchise, with a star-studded cast led by Jodie Foster and Kali Reis.
Set in the isolated town of Ennis, Alaska, True Detective: Night Country delves into a mysterious case. The research team of the Tsalal Arctic Research Station disappears without a trace during the long winter night. To unravel this mystery, Detectives Liz Danvers (Foster) and Evangeline Navarro (Reis) must explore the haunting truths hidden beneath the Arctic’s eternal ice and confront the darkness within themselves.
Joining Foster and Reis in the cast are Finn Bennett, Fiona Shaw, Christopher Eccleston, Isabella Star LaBlanc, and John Hawkes. The series also features guest appearances by Anna Lambe, Aka Niviâna, June Thiele, Diane Benson, and Joel D. Montgrand.
Behind the scenes, Issa López takes the helm as showrunner, writer, and director for all episodes.
