The series, a fresh addition to Channel 9‘s weekend lineup, is anchored by Lisa McCune, a household name in Australian television and a DIY gardening enthusiast. Alongside McCune, Dave Franklin, a renowned landscape artist, and their charming canine companion, Robin, will navigate the show. This trio will lead the charge in this unique venture, combining entertainment with practical gardening wisdom.

The Garden Hustle distinguishes itself by involving the property residents directly in the transformation process. Homeowners, renters, and even those residing in units will roll up their sleeves to revamp their outdoor spaces. The show promises a blend of chaos, humour, and real-life gardening challenges, mirroring the messiness and joy of actual DIY projects.

Each episode will see the participants equipped with the necessary resources to execute their ambitious garden makeovers. These makeovers are not just about beautification but also reflect the dedication and creativity of the participants.

As the hosts, McCune and Franklin will delve into the stories behind each garden project, offering insights and guidance. Their involvement ensures that the transformations are not just visually appealing but also resonate with the personal stories of the participants. The final nod, or rather, ‘lick of approval’, comes from Robin, adding a heartwarming touch to the show.

The Garden Hustle aims to be more than just a makeover show. It aspires to be a source of inspiration, offering viewers practical gardening tips and tricks. The show’s format, blending heart, humour, and horticultural know-how, positions it as a potential weekend favourite for audiences seeking a feel-good, informative viewing experience.

This show is set to redefine garden makeovers, merging the appeal of reality TV with the practical aspects of gardening, making it a must-watch for enthusiasts and casual viewers alike.

  1. I’ve seen the first show of the garden hustle and I love it, but how do I try to get to be part of it? How do they choose whose garden gets the ‘hustle’ ?
I’d LOVE to be part of it – my garden needs help!
