The Block’s Leah and Ash could tie for third in profits with their House 2, as industry insiders predict a $3.1m sale.

In a striking post-finale sales trajectory, the residence revamped by Leah and Ash during their stint on The Block is poised to clinch a deal within the bracket of $3.1 million.

Industry sources have told RealEstate.com.au that the expected sale would see the couple, who undertook the ambitious remodelling of House 2, reaping a $130,000 gain.

This windfall would position them in a third-place tie, shoulder to shoulder with Kyle and Leslie of House 1 in profit earnings.

The auction scene was allegedly marred by the presence of high-profile bidders such as Danny Wallis and Adrian Portelli, whose participation is said to have dampened the enthusiasm of other potential purchasers during the weekend bidding war.

The property, located at 16 Charming Street, initially failed to meet its reserve at $2.9 million. However, insider whispers suggest a closing figure standing $200,000 in excess of the last bid.

Noel Susay, a seasoned agent from Buxton Hampton East, has abstained from disclosing any specific figures, yet confirmed ongoing discussions with a pair of interested entities post-auction.

“My phone blew up after the show ran on TV,”

Mr Susay reported. The aftermath of the televised event saw him inundated with communications:

“On Sunday night I had six phone calls and eight emails, and the emails are still coming with more interest.”

He elaborated that post-viewing, he had escorted two potential buyers through the property and was currently engaged in active negotiations.

With an expectation to seal a deal in a rapid 24 to 48-hour window, Mr Susay indicated that the current negotiations involve parties previously deterred by the auction’s atmosphere, dominated by the likes of the aforementioned affluent contestants.

“They’re buyers who were scared of coming to the show’s auctions because they thought they’d get beat by big hitters Danny and Adrian,”

Throughout the tense atmosphere of auction day, Leah and Ash remained a picture of composure, despite the looming prospect of their home not achieving its reserve.

“This isn’t our first rodeo, we’ve sold lots of properties before, so we know how this works,”

Ash unflappably remarked.

The duo’s potential sale figure, while impressive, pales in comparison to the show-stopping $5 million fetched by Steph and Gian’s renovation endeavour, which culminated in a record-breaking $1.75 million profit — a sum that set a new benchmark for the competition’s history.
