Guichon’s early accomplishments include his remarkable feat of becoming the youngest executive pastry chef in Paris at just 21. His recent venture, the 2021 Netflix series School of Chocolate, further consolidated his standing in the industry. Speaking about his participation in Dessert Masters, he mentioned,

“I feel very honoured to have been chosen to be part of this wonderful new adventure that will once again highlight our beautiful industry with all its craft and complexity. I am excited to discover what the contestants will create in order to wow us!”

In contrast, Melissa Leong is no stranger to Australian viewers. A multi-faceted personality, she’s renowned as a food writer, critic, radio presenter, and, notably, a judge on MasterChef Australia. Her deep-rooted association with stalwarts of the Australian food industry, like Adriano Zumbo and Gelato Messina, offers her a nuanced understanding of what goes into crafting an impeccable dessert. Reflecting on the upcoming series, Leong stated,

“Desserts have the capacity to be magical. Creating a memorable dessert takes years of practice, technique and an exacting eye for detail.

I’m excited to see what these talented chefs are capable of when let loose in the MasterChef kitchen. Who knows what they will bring to life.”

The competition’s high stakes, combined with the expertise of the participants, promises an unparalleled showcase of skill, precision, and flair in the realm of desserts. Dessert Masters not only offers a fresh perspective to the MasterChef franchise but also pays tribute to the intricate world of dessert creation.
