Seven’s consistent night isn’t enough to get them across the line.

Channel 9

Nine again saw success in the early evening with A Current Affair (644,000) and The Block (671,000) both easily winning their timeslot with the latter lifting on last night’s performance. Under Investigation (262,000) maintains a loyal audience, as does Love Triangle (88,000) though it is significantly smaller. A repeat of New Amsterdam (33,000) kept the late night US drama fires burning.

Nine first in both primary (21.7%) and network (30.6%) rankings.

Channel 7

Seven built on the winning start from their News product with Home & Away (454,000) which remained solid. SAS Australia (401,000) also kept its audience, down 13% on the previous night, yet a competitive second in primetime. HMP: Behind Bars (123,000) and a repeat of The Chernobyl Disaster (49,000) attracted only minimal audiences in each timeslot.

Seven second in both primary (18.7%) and network (28.5%) rankings.

ABC

7:30 (416,000) and Take 5 with Zan Rowe (291,000) kicked off the ABC’s night, having built a solid base for Aunty’s now-flagship series Old People’s Home for Teenagers (303,000) which slipped only marginally though saw it land second in the timeslot. Australia After War (138,000) maintained a fragment of that lead-in, and the night closed with a repeat of Four Corners (35,000).

ABC third in both primary (11.9%) and network (16.9%) rankings.

Channel 10

The Project (159,000 6:30pm; 249,000 7pm) is building a consistent audience of two halves, unlike the season five finale of Shark Tank Australia (239,000) which really struggled to draw much attention at all but managed to finish up. The Cheap Seats (335,000) continued to be a high point for 10 and lifts significantly on last week to reclaim its number one later night title. Repeats of NCIS (112,000) and NCIS: Hawaii (47,000) were broadcast in the late night.

10 fourth in both primary (9.9%) and network (16%) rankings.

SBS

A repeat of The Point: Referendum Road Trip (37,000) led SBS’s evening, before it dropped into the 2023 finale of Insight (72,000) and then another repeat of Dateline (69,000).

SBS fifth in both primary (3.4%) and network (8%) rankings.
