ABC Celebrates BLUEY’s Five-Year Triumph with Upcoming Festivities

Australia’s animated darling, BLUEY, commemorates its five-year anniversary this October.

The charming series, which centres on a lively Blue Heeler pup and her Australian family, has captured the hearts of viewers both domestically and internationally since its 2018 debut.

Having seamlessly integrated phrases like Keepy Uppy, tactical wees, and duck cakes into the global lexicon, BLUEY stands not just as a children’s favourite but a cultural touchstone. Its influence has rippled across generations, making it more than just a show – it’s an experience.

In honour of this landmark, ABC is pulling out all the stops. Starting Monday, 23 October, the network is launching Bluey Fest. Spanning four weeks, this extravaganza promises a deep dive into the world of the Heeler family.

Fans, old and new, can eagerly mark their calendars for 23 October. ABC has hinted at a special invitation for Aussies to partake in celebrating half a decade of BLUEY – touted as the Biggest Little Show on Earth.

Behind the magic of BLUEY stands a talented team. The series springs from the vision of Joe Brumm, creator and showrunner.
